at St. Xavier’s Senior Sec. School Sec-44 C, Chandigarh

ENTRY FEE

Rs. 300 + 50 (Entry Fee + Annual Registration).

ELIGIBILITY

Participant should be a resident/domicile of Chandigarh.

Or

Studying in any educational institution located in Chandigarh.

Or

Working inChandigarh.

AGE LIMIT

Born on and after 01-01-2002 for Under-11

Born on and after 01-01-2008 for Under – 7

GENERAL

  1. Reporting time for the first round is 9 A.M on July 1st, 2015.
  2. Top two players in U-13 and in U-7 Category will  represent Chandigarh in the Nationals.
  3. The organising committee reserves its right to accept or reject any entry received after due date.
  4. Mere submission of entry does not confirm the eligibility of a participant.

Rules & Regulations

 

  1. The tournament will be played under Swiss
  2. The total number of rounds and detailed program will be announced before the start of the Tournmaent.
  3. Each round will be of 60 min + 15 Sec Increment.
  4. Walk-over time will be of 30 min.
  5. If a player is absent in any two consecutive rounds his withdrawal from the tournament will be automatically assumed.

 

  1. TIE-BREAK :

 

In case of a tie the following rules will be applied in descending order.

  1. Bucholz Tie-Breaks
  2. Toss/Draw of lots.

 

  1. The organising committee reserves its right to change or alter the rules if necessary without prior intimation.
  2. In all cases of disputes and/or Interpretation of the rules the decision of the organising committee will be final and binding on all players. Protest, If any, against the decision of the organising committee shall be made in writing with a protest fee of Rs. 500/- within 15 min of the occurrence of the incident. The amount shall be refunded if appeal is upheld by the committee.
  3. Smoking in the tournament Hall is strictly prohibited.
  4. All participants are expected to maintain silence and discipline in Tournament Hall.
  5. The organising committee can introduce the chess clock (Minimum 10 minutes each will be given) at any stage of any game and no appeal against it will be entertained.
  6. No friendly games or analysis of games is allowed inside the tournament hall.
  7. International Chess Sets will be used.
  8. Players should bring their own chess clock.
